AC Apartment
Arka has a variety of AC Apartments, all with attached bathrooms with hot water. Some apartments are open plan space, and some have room dividers separating one, or two rooms within the space. The apartments are furnished with beds, table, chairs and cupboard. Each apartment has a kitchen counter that can include a small fridge, stove, and basic kitchen utensils if requested in advance.
Non-AC Apartment
Arka has a variety of Non-AC Apartments, all with attached bathrooms with hot water. Some apartments are open plan space, and some have room dividers separating one, or two rooms within the space. The apartments are furnished with beds, table, chairs and cupboard. Each apartment has a kitchen counter that can include a small fridge, stove, and basic kitchen utensils if requested in advance.
Rooms
Arka has three standard rooms available, all are non-AC. Rooms are ideal for 2 people, but a third bed can be added. All rooms are furnished with beds, table, chairs, and cupboard. The three rooms share a large veranda area, and have two shared hot water bathrooms. Guests staying in these rooms sometimes opt to use the shared Common Kitchen accessible on campus.
Cottages
Arka has two cottages available, non-AC, with attached bathroom with hot water. Cottages are most suitable for single occupancy and are furnished with bed, table, chairs, and cupboard. Guests staying in these rooms sometimes opt to use the shared Common Kitchen accessible nearby.

Guidelines

Minimum 3 Nights Bookings.

Arka Office Reception is open between 9am-4pm.

Check In Time is 2–4pm & Check Out Time is before 10am.

Early Check-In is subject to availability and prior inquiry is necessary.

 

Guest House Prices include the Auroville Contribution. 

Additional 12 % Goods & Service Tax (GST) over rates exceeding Rs. 1000.

 

All rooms have basic furnishing, and hot water.

Weekly once room cleaning & one laundry load included.

Breakfast/Lunch available with min. 1 day prior notice for extra charge.

Internet Access Included on campus and accessible in most areas.

Auroville Aurocard available on request (refundable deposit required for Card).

Shared Common Kitchen access available on prior request.

Noise must be kept minimal, in respect to neighbours, to maintain a calm atmosphere.

Alcohol & Drug consumption not permitted, and will result in termination of stay.

Inappropriate Behaviour from guests may result is cancellation of stay.

Guests are Financially Liable for damages incurred during their stay.

 

Children >5years sharing existing beds, at no additional charge.

Children Refundable Security Deposit required for 1 week-1 month bookings.

 

High Powered Devices, such as hair dryer or mixi, must never be put on Solar Plugs to avoid blowing the full system.

In case of Power Cut we have Solar & UPS power backup for lights, fans and plug.

 

In case of Emergency Only, please contact our watchman and/or night caretaker.

This is an Auroville Guest House, not a Hotel, so we do not provide room service or 24/hour reception.

 

We request your collaboration to attempt to reduce our consumption of natural resources eg. water, electricity and waste segregation.

Discount

15% discount for long-term guests (minimum 1 week stay).
33% discount for Auroville long-term guests (minimum 1 month stay).
Additional 20% reimbursement  from Auroville Financial Service after 2 months of stay for SAVI registered volunteers.

Cancellation

Full Advance Payment Required.

Cancellation 1 month or more prior to Check-In date, 100% refund.
Cancellation between one month and 2 weeks prior to Check-In date, 50% only.
Cancellation between 2 weeks and 48 Hours prior to Check-In date, 30% only.
Cancellation less than 48-Hours prior to Check-In date, 0% refund.

Cancellation mid-stay, 0% refund.
